Is Tropical are in the studio right now in the final making of their second album, out later this year. Until then, they got some time to put together an EP named "Flags", where you can find this track "Oi Peru". Sweet and hard at the same time, I think it's golden! "Flags EP" is out today on Kitsuné/Cooperative Music and Is Tropcial describe it as something they been playing with in tour vans and it was about exorcising some of these dancefloor-based demo(n)s so they could go on to work on their record with fresh ears. Buy the EP in iTunes.
Is Tropical's tune "Land of the Nod" has gotten some Xinobi treatment. This remix follows Xinobi's new sound and I still love his new melodic house style. Also loving the free download of the track! Go Xinobi!
On October 31 Is Tropical will release their third single off June's "Native To" album on Kitsuné. Check out Leopard of Honour's which sounds a bit like a French electro-funk remix of a Depeche Mode song made for a 70s Italian movie soundtrack. And I mean that in a good way.
Speaking of Moonlight Matters by the way, he's made a remix of new Kitsuné signings Is Tropical. The trio are releasing their debut album on the French label on June 13. Before that you can download the original of "The Greeks" for free via their Official.fm page:
