Monitor 66 - Vitae EP

Stockholm trio Monitor 66 goes from strength to strength. "Vitae" is just out on super cool label The House of Disco, just as their huge hit from last year, "Triscuits", and it contains some of that warm, soulful house music that we have come to love from the guys. Check back soon for more Monitor 66!

Don't forget to 'like' Monitor 66 and The House of Disco on Facebook!

2CV is not only a classic French car, but also a Dutch duo consisting of Guido and Jus. They run a very nice club in Amsterdam with the same name. I met the guys through Aux tha Masterfader and we all had a great night out there when Zimmer played there last October (great guy too!). So I knew how to throw parties and that they could DJ too, but I still was surprised when I got the promo from one of our favourite labels, On the Fruit, since I had no idea they could make great music too. "Bacon" and "Afrique" are two disco-funk tunes that will set you in a nice mood. Goed gedaan jongens en tot siens!

Latest from Jonas Rathsman

Our fellow countryman Jonas Rathsman will release this beauty on OneOffs soon. OneOffs is the other label connected to Local Talk. Lots of Swedish geniality in both the labels and the artists. Give it up for Jonas Rathsman a little extra today!

Introducing: ETML

Found this new youngster via Moon Boots and The Magician. ETML was included on The Magician's latest mixtape Magic Tape 34 (only a few hours old).

ETML is the 18 year old talented singer, writer and producer from the suburbs of South West London. Still studying and yet doing this fine music. I believe this fellow will be pretty big soon. At least we will hear more talented tracks coming out from South West London.

"Bind Me" was released today on 37 Adventures, buy your copy along with the TCTS remix on iTunes.

Give this young magician your love over at his fanpage.

Also check out this track from Skelecta featuring ETML on the vocals. Also a sweet one!

New from Cyril Hahn

New hot tune from Cyril Hahn featuring Shy Girls. Recently played on BBC Radio 1, always a good recognition for good music.

Mercury + Kings of the Universe

A track that has been on high rotation is Stockholm-based duo Kings of the Universe's excellent remix of Mercury's "Let's celebrate". The duo with the humble name have been purveyors of great old-school house for a couple of years now, so a post about them have been on the cards for some time. Great lo-fi productions with that almost naïvely positive vibe makes you think of Chicago 1988 instead of Stockholm 2013. Obviously Byron Stingily's familiar crooning adds to that retro feeling in this instance, but you should also check out their older ventures into classic acid house.

The original is deeper, and what it lacks in vitamins you get back in carbs. Swiss house mafiosos Mercury are of course well-known for their releases on Gomma, but they have released on Exploited before this release on classic New York house label Nurvous.

Bonus #1: KOTU's free remix of fellow Swedish producer House of Wallenberg.

Download here.

Bonus #2: Mercury's remix of Two Door Cinema Club's "Sleep Alone" is a great song that is available for free too, if you don't mind the small hassle with Chirpy. Which you don't since it's a small kickback to the boys for giving away free music.

Holy Ghost! - Dumb Disco Ideas

Actually have to admit that this new Holy Ghost! track "Dumb Disco Ideas" actually slipped my radar. It's taken from their upcoming album "Dynamics" released on DFA Records. Sounds promising I must say. Always been a big fan and admired what Holy Ghost! done so far, so with this new one I can only hope for a new huge album to come!

Cinnamon Chasers - Time.Body.Tears EP

Like a blast from the past, one of our favourite producers of the synthier nu disco sound that we used to love (and still do), Cinnamon Chasers, is back with a new EP tomorrow. As much as we like that deep, stripped-down house sound at the moment, Russ Davies reminds us of the power of flowing synthesizer soundscapes filled with nice harmonies. That said, it's not like he sounds exactly like he did in 2010, there's a definitely a housier and funkier streak to him now.

OFF059 & OFF060 & OFF061

These are the three latest releases from one of our favourite labels OFF Recordings. The latest one is a teaser for the next to come release No 61 with Panos & Sentenza. The release consists of three tracks where one of them is a sweet remix from fellow OFF-people in Leftwing & Cody. I think you should buy your copy of this release when it hit the streets June 25.

The second latest is No 60, a release with two acts, Purple Disco Machine from Dresden in Germany and James Silk from Liverpool in the UK. Two sexy deep soul n' sexy tunes! Buy the release over at Beatport.

The third latest release is of course then the No 59 and there we find Malente & Teenage Mutants hailing from Germany with this deep and funky tune "Blow My Mind". Get your copy over at Beatport.

Todd Terje's "Strandbar" out today

Today the release of "Strandbar" from Todd Terje is out on Olsen Records. The release comes with three different versions of the same track. The "disco" and the "samba" version are two long faves of mine, sine I first heard them about a month ago. These tracks could be a huge part of the summer tunes we will play and dig. Buy the release over at Beatport.

Today the Finnish mastermind Erkka releases the "Excommunication/Air Condition" EP on Anjunadeep. "Excommunication" has been one of our favourite tunes when djing for quite a while and now we have the chance to hear and play another sweet gem in "Air Condition". Genius music for ya! Buy the EP over at Beatport.

Meet Dr Pecco

Straight out from Helsinki Dr Pecco is waving towards us with some retro-futuristic tunes. The heavy bomb "Pornographica" got me hooked immediately and then I had to check out some more tracks from Dr Pecco and many of them won my ears right away. This summer he will release the EP "Thrill". Give him your support and head over to his SoundCloud to check out more tunes!

Check out Nightly

Nightly is the new side project from Christian Strobe, where he goes much deeper underground. Acid, techno and deep house in the best combination! We love it and keep in mind that we are hungover in Paris.

The first two remixes out from Nightly is one of Disclosure, that is dope! The one of Gesaffelstein is one acid ravish one.
