More AXXE remixes

Except from Stay Ali's remix that we posted only minutes ago we also wanted to share two other great remixes of AXXE's latest "Sweet Stuff". If Stay Ali's remix is the most arty and experimental remix these two from Dreamtrak and Neon Workout are the most danceable.

We always long for new stuff from Stay Ali and when I met with one of the members Elias the other night at a party he told me that they were about to finish a remix of AXXE's "Sweet Stuff". And now, here it is!

I love how these three guys handle stuff, they're almost kind of disrespectful but with a lot of respect, playful in a serious way and that's why things from Stay Ali always is something extra and special.

AXXE + Flashworx + Grease

A post we really should've written back in November was a coverage of the release of AXXE's debut EP "Mainstream". But posting everything we think is blog worthy would be impossible unless we started running the blog full time (which we'd happily do if someone would pay us). Besides, we basically wrote about the EP back in February. Since then remixes by Cavaliers of Fun, Meroz, UCP and Zakolski have been added to the release along with the ones by Worship and Neon Workout.

Anyway, getting hold of AXXE's Grease rework, in collaboration with Flashworx who are coming to Sweden to play with us (yay!), is the perfect opportunity to make it up to them. So dress up in 50s clothes (in as much 80s style you can), and get down to this while downloading the "Mainstream" EP from Juno, iTunes, 7digital or DJ Download!

¡BORRACHO! remix of AXXE

We and ¡BORRACHO! have been anticipating this release for well over a month now. They've made a remix of our fine Montreal duo AXXE. The remix is of "Hard Candy" that we posted a while ago, and this remix will for sure turn up the heat on any dance floor this summer. We like this new remix from ¡BORRACHO!

It's being released on the new independent digital label Rural Route Records and the track is out on iTunes now.

New stuff from Cavaliers of Fun

Only two months ago we wrote about the great duo AXXE and in December we wrote about Cavaliers of Fun for the first time. Now it's time to put these two acts in the same post!

Cavaliers of Fun is still a one-man show from the UK named Ricco Vitali. He makes fantastic dreamwave music that everybody should fall in love with. I can't still understand why this guy haven't hit it off bigger when making such beautiful and talented music. Last year he made one of the greatest indie electro tracks with "Secret Galaxies". I hope he hits it off in 2010, you can help him out by give him your support at his MySpace.

AXXE is the great electro-pop duo from Montreal with an Icelandic female singer who also haven't got the attention that they deserve. However they got the attention from great remixers such as Worship, Neon Workout and now Cavaliers of Fun. Maybe it's time for AXXE to hit it off during 2010 as well.

Axxe have two tracks up on their MySpace, both of them remixed by rather prominent remixers. One of those below-par bands that try to inflate their value by hiring some cool remixers to rework some tired tracks you say? Well, you couldn't be more wrong. Although I'm a big fan of both Worship and Neon Workout, I have to say that the originals are just as good as the remixes.

Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, the electro-pop duo consisting of Douglas Chow and Icelandic singer Stina Agustsdottir is pretty fresh, as I've said. But that doesn't stop them from already playing at pretty cool places. Today, Friday, they're playing at Divan Orange with Vitaminsforyou and Hexes & Ohs, and on February 26 they're playing at Montreal Electronic Groove Festival. If you're lucky enough to be near eastern Canada you should check them out!
