Sir Lancelot's Dj Tools #1

Hello guys and dolls! This is my first post this year, hope you enjoyed Tracasseur's "Best of 2009" lists. I've had an excellent NYE, with lots of oysters, champagne, fireworks and beautiful women around me. That's what she said...no really!

Here are some of my 12" vinyl records I've transferred especially for you. Hope you enjoy them and btw I don' think you will find these anywhere else in the blogosphere. They are all in 320kbit/s. Sir Lancelot says enjoy!

Cassius - La Mouche (played live by DJ Falcon)
La Mouche means The Fly and you can hear the buzzing sound all the way through. I've played this at Spy Bar last week and the crowd went crazy.

Les Rythmes Digitales - Music Makes You Loose Control (Remix)
This version is so hard to find. Love the build-up in it. Met LRD in NY back in -98 when he was still a brat and not producing Madonna.

The Mighty Bop - Too Deep
Deep and heavy jazzy tune. Very 2002...

The Mighty Bop - Fantasia
If you didn't like the other one maybe you like this.

Basement Jaxx - Samba Magic
Indeed pure magic!

Basement Jaxx - Eu Nao
Also another song I played at my last gig. Amazing response for this classic.

The Migrants (Play Paul) - I Thought That (Jules Spinner Tweaked Remix)
From 2005, so we're getting closer present time. Love the tweakin' sound in the middle.

Serial Crew - Need U (Muttonheads Remix)
One of the producers is Demon Ritchie from the old school house scene. This track is also from 2005.

Dj Falcon

Until I do my interview with Archigram I write about my favourite French bird; Dj Falcon. His name is Stéphane Quême and before producing tracks for the legendary house label Roulé he worked in A&R department at Virgin. In 1999 his released his first EP (on Roulé) called "Hello My Name Is Dj Falcon" and produced a Remix of Cassius's "La Mouche" who is an all-time classic now. One year later, he started working with Thomas Bangalter on a track called "Together". And the rest is history...
He is a brother of Delphine Quême (Quartet) & Cousin of Alain Quême (Alan Braxe).

Check out his MySpace page here

Here are some of my favourite tracks by him:

Dj Falcon - Unplugged

Dj Falcon - Untitled

Dj Falcon - First

Dj Falcon - Honeymoon

Together (Dj Falcon & Thomas Bangalter) - So Much Love To Give (Archigram Remix)

Together (Dj Falcon & Thomas Bangalter) - Together

Love Love Love

Last week was crazy...it started off at a fashion party at Café Opera. Free booze and robotlike models walking around the place...but hey, the music sucked! I mean, 2 Unlimited, Dr. Alban (he made som nice tracks), Haddaway, Snap, Ace of Base.... That music can be fun if you're really drunk and not for more than 3o minutes! But hour after hour.... and oh yes, Pandora played live. Don't look her music up, it sucks trust me. Well that was Wednesday.

Thursday was the day Jonny Puma had an AMORE party to celebrate Valentines day at his design agency inside an old bank from the early 20's. Probably one of the best locations in Stockholm to have a party at. We were five Dj:s playing inside an old bank vault. Thats what I call a great place to Dj in. Did I mention there was free booze all night, a handreader and a burlesque stripper!

Awesome night...I was the last Dj to play and here are some of the songs I played:

Soulwax - NY Lipps (Kawasaki Dub)
This is the best version...makes everybody dance.

Shantel - Borino Oro

The Gypsy says dance!!

Dj Falcon - Honeymoon

This vocalfilter housetune is from 1999. There will be more Dj Falcon soon....keep posted!

Sébastien Tellier - Divine (Kasper Winding remix)

I know, quite commercial but I love it and so did the dancing crowd...

Alex Gopher - Belmondo (Just A Band remix)

I supported Mr. Gopher once and he is still one of my favourite Dj:s.

And some bonus tracks from Jonny Puma that he played during his set:

Sneaky Sound System - Kansas City (Lifelike Remix)

Xinobi - BMX (Moulinex Remix)

Sambassadeur - Final Say

Astrolabe - Leave the Station (Pelifics Remix)
