Daft Punk remixed

As you probably know Daft Punk are currently working on the soundtrack to the upcoming "Tron Legacy" movie. Towards the end of last year a couple of tracks from the soundtrack supposedly leaked out on the internet which didn't exactly made people looking forward to the movie and its soundtrack any less. From the get-go they were surrounded by some uncertainty whether they were actually made by Daft Punk or not and it came as little surprise when they turned out to be fakes.

So if this whole thing has made you down-beat or you just need a Daft Punk fix, you might like these remixes by our buddy Lebatman and German duo Overthrill:

Daft Punk - Technologic (Lebatman Rework)

Daft Punk - Around the World (Overthrill Remix)

Oh, and speaking of Overthrill, Here We Are, the Spaniards with such an awesome Dragonette remix, just remixed them!

Overthrill - Your Life (Here We Are Remix)

This will be the last post before our "best of 2009" posts tomorrow. And what better way to finish off 2009 than with one of the first artists we wrote about when we started the blog; Lebatman. He sent over this exclusive mix which spans from early 80's italo classics to electro and house from the verge of the 2010's. This will make you want to party like it's 2009!

Lebatman part II teaser

Photobucket
Remember my post about Lebatman eons ago? I say eons ago a lot. Usually it means a couple of weeks or a few months, but the first post about the Italian French house maestro really was eons ago; March to be exact. This was before internet and the phone. The cars didn't run on wheels but on square stones and everyone just looked a little bit more like apes...

Remember I wrote that more was to come on him soon? Although soon is a relative word, I sort of hope you don't remember that because nine months isn't soon in blog-time. Not even in real time.

Anyway, after working on other projects Monsieur Lebatman sent us this brand new track, which is a percussive, French touch-style house track with great harmonies.

Lebatman part I

Photobucket
It feels like an eternity since my last post here on Tracasseur. Since then I've been preoccupied by important rl obligations, and been struck down by a deadly bird flu/cold.

Anyway, I've been meaning to post about LeBatman (formerly known as stadTkind) for a while now. He's been one of my favourite house producers ever since I heard his Arnold Schwarzenegger sample on "Call Hooters 1278", and his remix of Pal Secam's "March" has been one of my top tracks for the last couple of months. You might have heard the remix of The Cars' "Heartbeat City", which was included on the epic Masters Of The Universe 2 compilation.

Despite his name and his "French" sound he's not at all French but from Milan, Italy. His productions ranges from slick French touch via disco and filter house to, well, just straight-up house. Oh, and he doesn't ski.

More on Monsieur Le Batman soon...

stadTkind - Le Batman!

LeBatman - Killer Deffos!
