Angst:One #2 + bonus Strobes

So, the new The Toxic Avenger EP is released tomorrow. We wrote about it on Friday, so scroll down and read about all the gory details in that post. We just wanted to share the Kid 606 remix which just was made available for streaming.

If you haven't been here since Friday, or if you haven't 'liked' our Facebook page (which we'd hope you would), you might have missed that we at first didn't actually post the Black Strobe remix due to mp3s being wrongly tagged. That's all sorted out now, but if you haven't yet replaced what actually was the original with the correct Black Strobe remix, here it is again:

Here's a little bonus. Black Strobe have a new single out called "Me & Madonna", which is also included in the Kitsuné Maison 10 compilation. One of the remixes on the single is by Brazilian disco duo The Twelves, and it goes like this:

The Toxic Avenger + Black Strobe

French electro maestro The Toxic Avenger is coming out with his new EP "Angst:One" on Monday the 22nd. Simon Delacroix, who obviously has borrowed his name from the 1984 cult horror flick has made a really strong track. The original is a great piece of French electro in the same vein as Danger. It's very melodic and very intense at the same time and has really nice sweeping strings. The longer album version, which will be included on the album that is due out next year, adds a really cool break with a live violin, a cello and drums by Something a la Mode. The Black Strobe remix has a great piano and a touch of that 90s sound that I'm just a sucker for at the moment, while Kid 606's remix gives the track a cool Miami bass/ghettotech feel.

We're happy to exclusively share the Black Strobe remix with you but we think you should buy the whole release on iTunes on Monday. You should also become a Facebook fan of Toxic, like all the other cool kids are. Oh, and due to the mp3s we received being wrongly labelled, it was actually the original EP version that was up on Friday and half of Saturday. We've corrected that now, but if you were fast downloading it, you can be happy that you got two versions of the track!

Crashing Atlantis

Tonight Tracasseur will play records on a secret island in the archipelago of Stockholm. This outdoor event will take place on a small island that still have some of the old military buildings left from the time when Sweden expected to be invaded by the Russians. Today the Russians invades us with great music instead like Tesla Boy and Upstation.

The party is arranged by two other dj crews named Crash Location and gr8n. Crash Location's thing is to crash new locations for parties, this time it was time to crash an island. We promised them to play some tracks that contains the word island.

PEACE by Buffetlibre & Amnesty International

Our fine friends of Buffetlibre have another massive project on the go. Before they have had huge and splendid projects like "Rewind" (80s cover project) and "Batidora" (remix project). And now it's time for their new project together with Amnesty International named "PEACE". It was supposed to be released already by March 1, but due to bureaucratic paperwork and legal authorizations the project will be fully released April 12 instead. But these who waits for something good...

There are more than 15o artists from over 50 countries into the "PEACE" project. There are all kinds of artists involved from all the music genres there is. For us who are mostly into the electronic music we can tell you that fine acts like Tesla Boy, Jori Hulkkonen, The Hidden Cameras, The Toxic Avenger, Aeons, Sally Shapiro, Jeans Team and Don Diablo have produced brand new songs to the project.

This music atlas will be given for free to all those who, through the official "PEACE" website, make a minimum donation of € 2 in favour of the NGO Amnesty International. All benefits will go to Amnesty International to stand up for humanity and human rights. Their purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

Before the launch in about three weeks and due to the delay Buffetlibre have some free tracks to share with you and you can also stream 24 tracks from here. Every week until the official release of "PEACE" there will be 24 new tracks at the same place. We will make a new post when the official site is up.
