Oliver

I've been raving a lot about Fiero, who I think have approached the whole retro 80s sound with a twist by borrowing more from mid-80s American R&B than early 80s italo synths. That means more funk and more electric guitar solos, and that's always fresh, right?

Another band that I put up there as the stars of Quincy Jones electro is Oliver, a duo comprised of Oliver "Oligee" Goldstein and Vaughn "U-Tern" Oliver. I've been listening to and playing both their awesome remixes and their even more awesome originals for quite a while, the favourite being the slow but ultra cool "Walk With Me".

The latest track they've made is "I Need You", which they will give away for free when it hit 20.000 plays, so put it on repeat people!

Swoon collection

"Swoon" is not a new track, but it's a damn good one. The first single out of The Chemical Brother's seventh studio album "Further" released in June. A lot of remixes has circled the internet and when I heard the fine Lindstrom and Prins Thomas remix the other night I felt it was time for Tracasseur to collect all the remixes of "Swoon".

The Boys Noize remix of "Swoon" brings back fantastic moments for the Tracasseur crew as it was a kind of anthem every night at the Dance Area at Exit Festival back in July.

Don Diablo on North American tour

Don Diablo is not from France, and not from Spain either despite his Spanish sounding name, but from Holland. He's been as productive as he's been reliable, spitting out great tracks on what has seemed on a daily basis. "I'm Not From France" will be the name of his EP that will be released for free on December 11. All you have to do is sign up on his website! The EP will include remixes from Linus Loves, Cagedbaby, Louis La Roche and Hugo Van Dyk as well as the track "Rave Rave Rave".

On December 10 his north american tour starts in Chicago. After stops in Phoenix, Toronto, Houston and El Paso it finishes in San Diego on December 19. Check his MySpace for exact dates and locations. Also listen to these fresh tracks:

Prom Night remixed

Got a prom date? Great hairdos à la Stephen King's "Carrie" complete with Sissy Spacek covered in pig's blood is promised. And all to the music of Linus Loves. Mr Loves will be competing to be your date together with two other young men; Don Diablo and Burns. Glaswegian Linus Loves would be the slick choice with the 80's haircut, Amsterdam's Don Diablo a bit more energetic and even more eager to dance, while Burns is the badboy you should avoid taking home to meet your parents.

Me? I'd prefer to go to the prom with a girl, so I'm holding out for the Emmon remix...
