I must admit, I hadn't heard of the duo Lissi Dancefloor Disaster despite them being from the lovely University city of Uppsala 45 mins north of Stockholm (which is a city we've played in a lot and where we are going back to play on November 9). The Stockholm duo Lo-Fi-Fnk, on the other hand, are old favourites of ours, and the latter's remix of the former caught my eyes in the mailbox today. Heading over to LDD's Soundcloud page to listen to their new EP "AS We Plz" that comes out today, i was sold by the lovely electropop. And the kittens.
Here are a couple of nice LDD remixes. M.I.A. needs no introduction, while Those Dancing Days are a great Swedish indie band, and Swedish singer Emmon you can learn more about in our interview with her.
Our friend and also one of the absolute top remixers right now in the world, Moonlight Matters, has come up with this disco remix of Swedish Lo-Fi-Fnk, who are steaming hot right now with their kind of comeback record "The Last Summer" released yesterday. Nice combination of Swedish pop and the disco sound of Moonlight Matters. Boom!
We wrote the other day about our new finding Lovesport from NYC. In that post we mentioned a remix they had made that we got the chance to hear out. Due to some 'not cleared stuff' between people it was all in a mist, but now we got it cleared for sharing.
The band they remixed is our Swedish friends of Lo-Fi-Fnk, who released the single "Boom" in late June. The full-length album "The Last Summer" is planned to be released August 17. You can pre-order the album, either as Ltd Ed 12" Vinyl, Ltd Ed CD or Digital.

The premiere night is this Friday and we got a feeling it's going to be sweaty. The club will take place in the intimate basement of Blå Skåpet. It's going to be personal and intense downstairs with a little help from our lasers in the dark and of course the great pumping music. As mentioned Tracasseur are launching this new club together with our fine friends Dogs from Redding and Blek. They are responsible for the great disco club Glasnost in Uppsala, where we been flipping records several times with foreign celebrities such as Serge Santiago, diskJokke, Disco Bloodbath and Ben Rymer. Next time In Flagranti will be the main act. A lot of fine Swedes have also been visiting Glasnost for amazing live- and dj-sets, except ourselves great acts such as Jackpot, DW, Neon Workout and Hampus Drake.
