As usual our blogging pace slows down during the summer when I take a well-needed vacation from all the blogging I haven't been doing. We're all very thankful for Jonny who's left to fend for the blog on his own. But today I thought I'd kick off my 2014-15 season. We have a lot of things that we've liked during the summer, and some of it we'll try to give you even if it might be a little late. But of course we'll guide you through the current of new stuff that constantly washes over the internets.
SO, let's start with something brand new when we premier PWNDTIAC and Douze's collaboration "Nightvision". And by new I mean old, since this is a track that the guys made some time ago. It's also "old" in the sense that it has a lot of that classic synthwave sound that we used to listen to so much. And perhaps after a couple of years of deep house, we're ready for some sort of revival-revival? Download the track for free on PWNDTIAC's Facebook page!
One of the releases we've liked a lot (but didn't blog) is PWNDTIAC's catchy filter funk track "Hey Girl" that makes you think of greats like Shannon, Jellybean and the likes. Including a colaboration with Digitalfoxglove and remixes by Justin Faust and Douze.
"Hey Girl" also has an awesome video that really catches the mood of the track perfectly:

Gomma update: The Deadstock 33s & Moullinex
Great stuff coming out from Gomma recently. Well, recently might be a poor choice of words; it's hardly surprising they're releasing great stuff, we've known that for ages, it's just that they're doing it on a weekly basis these days.
Last week Moullinex released his beautiful "Darkest Night" from his "Flora" album as an EP (out now on Discotexas), featuring remixes from Portuguese brother in arms Xinobi and, to complete the Portuguese-German connection, a collab remix by Kris Menace and PWNDTIAC. Oh, and we're playing together with Senhor Moullinex here in Stockholm on Saturday, March 13. If that'll be half as fun as when we played with Xinobi, we're all in for a real treat.
And today Gomma released this baby: house legend Justin Robertson, aka The Deadstock 33s' very retro "Underneath the Pines" featuring remixes by Ewan Pearson and Disco Bloodbath. It all sound very mid-80's acid house, where Pearson was a huge figure in the Manchester scene which was the hub of acid house in Europe in these days, while I have to admit my favourite is Disco Bloodbath's more Chicago-sounding version that sounds like it could've been released on Trax or DJ International in '87. If you haven't already had an acid house phase, and you're the least interested in house music, you should check both of those scenes out.

Kris Menace ft. Miss Kittin - Hide
Digging the new single from synthy house nestor Kris Menace called "Hide", taken from his new album "Features". It's got Miss Kittin on vocals and a very nice video which makes you think of both A-ha's classic "Take on Me" and the psychedelic X-mix series that ran on MTV's Party Zone in the mid-90's.
The remixes come from Undo, Nhar, Alexander Maier, Pwndtiac and Maethelvin. Nice ones, and even nicer that the Maethelvin is a freebie!

Kris Menace & Kiki Twins + PWNDTIAC
Sorry for being lazy bastards everyone. Well, actually we've both been working hard on our day jobs. We thought a super fresh remix by German house starlet PWNDTIAC of German house star Kris Menace's new tune with Kiki Twins would somewhat make it up to you. It's super fresh partly because it's super funky, but also because it's 11 minutes old.
