ODahl

Got this track through my YouTube account (!) this evening. It's a remix by Stockholm producer ODahl of the evergreen Empire of the Sun single "Walking on a Dream". The great original is transformed into a track somewhere in the region between nu disco, house and electropop, complete with lovely synth strings and a bouncy bassline. A slightly unorthodox method of delivery but still a wonderful gift. And the beginning of the video seems made for posting on this blog.

I first came across Mr ODahl via his remix of stellar soul classic Luther Vandross' "Never Too Much", which seems a logical choice of track since his soundscape seems to be influenced by the funky pop-soul of the 80's.

@JC: I think it is. If Luther's voice seems lighter than usual it's because the song has been pitched up slightly. Listen to the original here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KraIB1z0aac
