RÜFÜS new remix EP "We Left"

Australian trio RÜFÜS have today released a new remix EP for their great track "We Left" via the French label On The Fruit Records, that we of course love for their fine work within the electro disco.

"We Left" is an awesome track that we got a tip about already in January from Franck You (owner of On The Fruit). Since then we've been following RÜFÜS to see what they will come up with, and we knew that they would make this remix EP. It's a really solid remix EP with great remixes from all people involved. Thanks to Ride The Universe, Beaumont, Broke One, Freak You and SymbolOne.

Especially we actually love the SymbolOne remix the most and that's the one that they give away for free in 320 kbps today. Perfect day!

Here is the official video for the original:

Beaumont - Skyline EP

It wasn't long ago we made a round-up of Beaumont tracks. A week later, this Monday, he released his Skyline EP to keep us on our toes. It contains a Beaumont original (well remix actually) and two remixes by Show Your Shoe, who he remixed in our last post, and our darlings Fiero. Head over to Beaumont's Bandcamp to buy the EP, including the Fiero remix which we only give away in 128 kbps sampler quality.

Beaumont round up

April, May and the beginning of June have been real productive months for Beaumont, our Aussie fave. A lot of tracks and releases for him and we round them up here today so you keep track of Beaumont.

Latest one is his remix of Show Your Shoe's "Technik City - Jet Skiing". Get Beaumont's remix over at Juno, where you also should buy the whole release with remixes of Flashworx and Coupons.

Next up is his latest EP "City Meets Soldier" featuring Ill Collins. The original track is a more than 8 minutes long dreamy Beaumont track, kind of epic. Lovely work. And the remixes that comes along the release, it's really hard to pick out any favourite one so far, due to all of them are really awesome and they all contributes with something in every remix. So here is the whole release in 128 kbps and if you want them in better quality, lets say 320 kbps or FLAC, head over to Beaumont's Bandcamp and buy them. Very praiseworthy thinking of the high quality content of the EP.

Last tracks of the day will be "Oblivion" and "Feed the Sky". Once again Beaumont's distinctive character in the music, they got his signature written all over them. Dream away with Beaumont and the last words for the day will be: everytime you dream it feeds the sky...

Shelby Grey - Echoes Dimensions & Waves

So I'm back from the dead after the flu from hell. Women who talk about how painful it is to give birth don't know how it's like to be a man with a really bad cold (to paraphrase an old Swedish add). Like an unintentional get-well present I received Shelby Grey's brand new EP "Echoes Dimensions & Waves" from Heartbeats Management, aka Sarah Hansson, the Swedish Barcelona-based manager, booking agent, recent label boss (and apparent wonder woman). Yes people, Heartbeats have evolved into a label called Holographic People, and, judging by the first release you see before you and that we know future releases include Clancy & Build and Young Digerati, we already know it's going to be one of our favourite labels.

So what about the first release? Well it features Ricco Vitali (half of Cavaliers of Fun), I trust the list of remixers apart from Grey himself says it all; Beaumont, Clancy, Worship, Stephen Falken and AlbertOne help the EP become an orgy in lush dreamwave synths and driving electropop and synth house beats.

Happy Easter from Beaumont

Straight out of Australia our fave Beaumont hails a greeting for the holiday. The greeting flies close to the sun and maybe get its wings burnt. Irrespective of that this is the track to fly away with, as the soundtrack, in a small plane into the sunset. Dreamy.

Weekend music from friends

Friday, time to get into the right mode. Therefore I will stop babbling and just give you some great music from some of our fine friends of Tracasseur that we love and support.

First out is our wonderful Torontian girl TEEN with a new nice track of her own.

TEEN - Girls Will Be Girls

Next out is our awesome Aussie guy Beaumont, who recently made a remix of Grum's latest release "Through The Night". Don't miss out on that one and don't miss out on this nice remix of Housse De Racket.

Housse De Racket - Dans l'Avion (Beaumont Remix)

Another friend of ours, from the same country as us but from another city named Gothenburg. We're bit ashamed not having made more posts about Owl Vision. But we promise to post this guy more regularly further on. Get heavier with Owl Vision and Oh Shit!

Oh Shit! - Outside Of Me (Owl Vision Remix)

Our other Swedish friends of PURPL PoP that we've posted and had a remix competition together with, just released their debut single on Fat! Records (Beatport/Juno/iTunes). Remixes come from Foamo who serves up two versions, Utah Jazz, Warrior One, The Living Graham Bond and remix competition winner Shooting Horses. Download this remix from London duo Warrior One and stream the rest of the release here.

PURPL PoP - The Way (Warrior One Remix)

Our Finnish friends Sara and Markku from TV OFF released their debut album "Music Machine" in May, buy it here. They have made a new video to "Boogieman" featured on the album. This remix made by Sharkslayer is a banger. TV OFF also want to give you a previously unreleased track named "Bird". This is actually one of the first songs they ever did. They recorded it at Markku’s house and Sara improvised the melody as she sang it.

British Grum are soon to release the track "Through The Night", to be more precise, October 4 is the exact date. But already today you can take a listen to the full 10-track release here with a bunch of excellent remixes of an excellent track. With remixes by estimable acts such as Tom de Neef, Bit Funk, Swiss Menergy, Perseus, Beaumont and Grum himself, it's a very fine release.

Beaumont remix of Groove Armada

This guy Beaumont is something extra. From Australia he sends out his remix-love to the world on regular basis so that the world won't break apart. This time he has remixed the classic English duo Groove Armada, who released a great new album this year named "Black Light" inspired more of the 80s than before.

"I Won't Kneel" featuring SaintSaviour was the first single to be released for the album and a couple of remixes has turned up. Beaumont's remix is my absolute favourite even if I gave it my first listen earlier today. He's something of the extraordinary this Beaumont, I told you so.

As a bonus, here's the original with two other remixes that also are quite nice.

Cassette Club

Cassette Club, comprised of Ben Macklin and Tom Hammond have released the remix EP of their latest single "4 Me" on Eye Industries today (or yesterday depending on which continent you're on), May 25. The original is really great to begin with,  and the remixes courtesy of Tracasseur household names like Bestrack and Beaumont, as well as hyped acts like Quinten 909 & Livian and Algeronics are just as good.

Pick up the release in it's full high-quality glory on Beatport and expect to hear more from Eye Industries and Cassette Club in the future.

New remixes from Beaumont

Our fine friend Beaumont on the other side of the world has been productive lately. He got some great remixes ready to show the world.

The remix of 24-year old Melbourne producer Ren Riz (more to come about him soon) is only 12 hours old. It's a bit of a departure from Beaumont's usual styles, but we like this style too. A little harder more driven beat.

Ren Riz - Swamp (Beaumont Remix)

The second remix is of former Moloko member Roisin Murphy, who is about to release her third solo album this year. The track "Momma's Place" is supposed to be on the album and this is Beaumont's remix of it. I think it's a superb remix of Beaumont!

Roisin Murphy - Momma's Place (Beaumont Remix)

The third and last remix is of great Grum (he still seems to stopped spelling his name in caps) and his awesome track "Can't Shake This Feeling" that we posted the eating video to a while ago.

NightWaves + Beaumont

The American duo NightWaves, consisting of Kyle Peterson and Josh Legg, make melodic, nostalgic dreamwave. They are a part of the LA-based producer collective/music blog Binary which you need to keep tabs on if you're not doing it already. Growing to a four piece band for live gigs, they have just finished a run of shows at SXSW and the Winter Music Conference.

Their new single "Sweet Carrie" is being released on Tuesday. Check out the video and the remix by our Australian buddy Beaumont.

Dragonette remixed

I like Canadian quartet Dragonette. I like that they have supported both Basement Jaxx and Sugababes, and there's a bunch of remixes of them that I really like. Two such remixes have been floating around recently; Richard X's of "Pick Up The Phone" and Buffetlibre's of "Easy". I have been meaning to post them for a while, but the autumn coma made me miss the train so to speak. Thing is they're too good not to post, so I was really glad when Beaumont bailed me out by sending over his take on "PUTP" today!

We've written about Beaumont before and he cements his position as one of our favourites with this beautifully well-crafted version of "Pick Up The Phone"...

Dragonette - Pick Up The Phone (Beaumont Remix)

...quite different from Richard X's energetic electropop take of the same track:

Barcelona's Buffetlibre's remix of "Easy" has made a big impact on the blogosphere even without our help, so let's kick-start the second wave!

Buffetlibre & Beaumont remixes

Today I will put two great acts together in one post with some new remixes from them.

First we have awesome Buffetlibre from Spain, who are DJs, makes great remixes and also have the mighty 80's cover project "Rewind". They have a busy schedule this late summer and early autumn touring in Spain and Netherlands. They are also doing a mini-tour with another great act named Frankmusik, that we soon are going to write about in a bigger scale. The remix of Little Boots "Remedy" is made together with Sidechains, who from time to time work together with Buffetlibre.

Little Boots - Remedy (Buffetlibre vs Sidechains Remix)

Cartridge - The Woods (Buffetlibre Remix)

As the next great remixer we have our favourite Aussie Beaumont, who never lets you down. His latest remix is of James Yuill's "No Pins Allowed" that is superfresh. Then we have two other remixes that aren't that superfresh but almost. One is of one of the most remixed songs this year "Walking On A Dream", but this one is well worth posting because of Beaumont's nice touch.

Fine new acquaintance: Beaumont

This is a really nice new acquaintance for me, Beaumont from Sydney, Australia. Once again these Australians make great electronic music.

He has not yet been hyped on all the blogs around the world, but that is soon to come because this sounds quite amazing! The touch from the eighties synth sound in a modern way catches your ears when you hear Beaumont’s instrumental electro. His own material is kind of dreamy and his remixes provides the original with an extra flavour. My favourites from Beaumont are “Last Night”, “Memoir” and the remixes of Ladyhawke and Empire Of The Sun.

Enough talking, hear this guy out and follow his near future at his MySpace.
